This server is an infosystem operated by the Computer Science Chair IV, Department of Computer Science, University of Dortmund, Germany. Imprint.

This media mostly contains nearly-static (here: a term, update frequency: before terms start in April and October) information and announcements (colloquium) - primarily suitable for first-information and quick introduction about the groups organized in the unit 'Informatik IV' (Computer Science Chair IV) targeted at interested persons from outside and local students. It does not contain information internal for our groups, projects and staff (they do have own, internal infoservers). For actual announcements you are referred to the corresponding 'newsgroups' and - certainly - to the 'real' announcement-boards on the southside floor of the GB V in front of the rooms 404 to 406b.

This service is operational since September, 1993 (initiated by Arnulf Mester and Ralf Lübeck). Until June 1998 we used 'CERN httpd 3.x' as server software. Since 1998 we use Apache.
