On the layout plan of the university you will find us in the area of the Campus Süd in the building with the lettering “GB V“ (at arrow no. 3).
Travelling to the University of Dortmund
by train:
- from Dortmund-central station
- By S-Bahn S 1 direction Düsseldorf (leaves every 20 min.; during semester time four times an hour) to
Dortmund-Universität (duration approximately 7 min.). Further by H-Bahn 1 direction Eichlinghofen (leaves every
10 min.) to Campus Süd (duration approximately 2 min.).
Total price (state: august 2006): 2,10 EUR (VRR-fare stage A)
by car:
- from the motorway A1
- Leave the A1 at the motorway intersection 'Dortmund/Unna' to the A44 to Dortmund, this motorway turns into the B1. Leave the B1 at the exit Dortmund-Dorstfeld/Universität (further on via the roads Hauert, Universitätsstraße and Baroper Straße to the August-Schmidt-Straße).

- Take the exit Dortmund-Eichlinghofen/Universität (further on via the roads Universitätsstraße and Baroper Straße to the August-Schmidt-Straße).
by plane:
- from the Dortmund-Wickede airport
- By bus 440 from Dortmund, Flughafen direction Oespel resp. Germania (leaves every 20 min.) to Eichlinghofen, H-Bahn
(duration approximately 50 min.). Further by H-Bahn 1 direction Universität (leaves every 10 min.) to Campus Süd
(duration approximately 2 min.).

Or take a taxi to Universität Dortmund, Campus Süd (approximately 20 min. and 20 EUR). - from the Düsseldorf airport
- From the Düsseldorf, Flughafen station at the eastside of the airport site the S-Bahn S 1 is leaving. This station
is not the subterrestrial S-Bahn station in the basement of the terminal! But there is a dense shuttle service of
the SkyTrain between the terminal and the station of the S 1. By S-Bahn S 1 direction Dortmund (leaves every 20 min.) to
Dortmund-Universität (duration approximately 70 min.). Further by H-Bahn 1 direction Eichlinghofen (leaves every
10 min.) to Campus Süd (duration approximately 2 min.).
